GHANA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE KICKSTARTS 
SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

Ghana Christian University College (GhanaCU) has kickstarted a new chapter in education with an inauguration and the official launch of the School of Business and Professional Studies.

This event was graced by a distinguished guest of honour, Mr. Eric Oduro, the Executive Director of the Chartered Institute of Tax Law and Forensic Accountants, Ghana Under the theme of “Elevating Business Leaders with Integrity,”.

This is a strategic merger between the School of Professional Studies (SPS) and the Department of Business Studies from the School of Development Management and Health Sciences (SDMHS) and The School of Business and Professional Studies.

Rev. Francis Asante, Dean of SDMHS acknowledged the support and contributions of Dr. Nelson S. Ahlijah, President of GhanaCU, and Rev. Dr. James Yamoah, Vice President for being a force in the institution’s progress.

He delved into the history of the School of Development Management and Health Sciences and its journey into a thriving academic institution.Rev. Francis Asante acknowledged the timely proposal for the creation of the School of Business and Professional Studies, stressing on the collaborative effort among faculty members to bring this concept to fruition. He pledged to continuously support, nurture and guide the newly born faculty towards gaining its independence.

The School of Business and Professional Studies set up the department of Marketing to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the competitive world of marketing.

Human Resource Management (HRM) which will provide a detailed understanding of HR practices and strategies for an effective talent management.

Accounting to also nurture future accountants and financial experts through various academic programs.

The Professional Unit will also administer prestigious programs such as ICM-UK and ABE to offer students access to globally recognized professional certifications.

As the School of Business and Professional Studies starts a new journey, it promises excellence, integrity, and a commitment to producing ethical and self sufficient business leaders.
